EXPORTS
The export is likely
to grow more steeply as new technical and financial collaborations are
clinched as part of globalisation of industries. The Union Territory of
Puducherry is already famous for it's leather, handicraft, textile products
in the world. Avenues for increasing these exports and for exporting
other commodities to various countries need to be ascertained for boosting
the exports. During 2005-2006, we helped the country earn foreign exchange
to the tune of Rs.706.69 crores.
